VILLA DARRER | DUBROVNIK, BOSANKA
If you’re considering next summer’s holidays you may well have thought of Croatia and the famous city of Dubrovnik. You won’t be alone as hundreds of thousands of visitors from all over the world have decided that this is the time to see this amazing walled city on the sea and this stunning part of Croatia’s Adriatic coast.
Dubrovnik can get very crowded and chaotic in summer. The city is much in demand and parking is almost impossible. Above the city is a pretty, typical Croatian settlement called Bosanka. It’s less than a 10 minute drive away from Dubrovnik or for the really fit, there’s a path. A stay here gives you the best of Dubrovnik with a peaceful retreat at the end of the day and is a great location for visiting other parts of the coast.
This is a haven of calm away from the hustle and bustle and in hot summers, it’s often a degree or two cooler up in the almost-mountain air at Bosanka.
If you come from a city, you and your family may well enjoy the sight of goats, chickens and lambs grazing happily. You can cycle here easily and there is a little local restaurant “konoba Dubrava” just a 5 minute walk away for when you don’t want to cook.
This land has belonged to my family for centuries. I spent most of my happy childhood days at Bosanka and it has been my life’s ambition to build a wonderful holiday home in keeping with the environment.
I have 5 apartments. There are 10 private parking spaces.
All apartments share a brand new, attractive freshwater swimming pool at the front of property with sunbathing areas.
